In Between Collection
“Living in the in between…”
…this space does not have to cause confusion, doubt or exhaustion. Can we place ourselves in a space where we live in the tension, the in between space of what has happened, the unknown of what is to come and the present. Set new goals, run after old and new dreams and find a deep breath of fresh air knowing we will thrive in this space.
This collection resembles the in between space and the re-focus of life. May each image also be a place where you can thrive in the great unknown and find freedom in the adventure of life.
In Between Collection - Original Art
Slow down, deep breaths, clear your mind and find peace. Find rest, find a center where you can see clearly. Things we tell ourselves when life becomes overwhelming. When everything begs for your attention. How do we refocus? Refocus on what is truth, what is noble, what is honoring, what is forgiving. A refocus of dreams and desires, of relationships, of the present.
This space can be big or it can feel small. Yet, life is busy for everyone. The hustle of the day to day tasks and reaching goals for the future can become daunting. It can drive us and yet be overwhelming.
To refocus, to pause, slow the breathing down, clear the mind and speak truth over who you are and what you are capable of doing. Not just in the future but in the present moment. You have control over giving yourself space to focus on and become the version of you that you believe in.
Today can be your refocus day.

Those moments that stop you in your tracks. They cause you to ponder, reflect and reveal in wonder. You might even laugh or cry, wondering how this moment just happened. You feel a sense of lightness to your body and deep joy. Something has come alive or maybe has just been awakened.
Moments happen to us all day long. What if we slow our day down to see all the little and big divine moments that speak life into who we are. We might be surprised at how our divine moments then become someone else's divine moments. Next thing you know a ripple effect of wonder starts to spread.

There are little spaces that bring our hearts to a place of tranquility, calmness, and inner peace. The soft giggle of a child, a warm embrace from a loved one. A pause in the day with a cup of coffee. Maybe a walk in nature, where the soft breeze of fresh air allows us to feel centered. They are little spaces of daily gifts that present good things. We welcome the little space where our mind can rest and our thoughts be at ease. In these spaces we find the energy to move forward and the empowerment to be brave with what is in front of us.

In the adjustments of life, being transparent can be a very vulnerable experience. A point where you let go of what others may think of your past, your present and dreams. You allow yourself to be open and known. Being transparent does not mean to be overlooked or dismissed. But to be who you were created to be. Someone who thrives, someone who lets others in and someone who sees who they really are. We all crave something real, why not start with us.

The roots of our soul can be wild, they grow deep and yet they grow out. They have the power to speak life or death into the core of who we are. They carry weight when spoken out loud. They bring a grounding into the old and new. They are wild. They absorb the air around us, breathing clarity and renewal into our Spirit. We need roots to grow out, we need them to adventure into the great unknown. Through the things we experience; they carry deep into the roots that are deep in our core. Do not prune them. Do not dismiss them. Nurture them and allow them to carry you into the unknown, where you just might find more of who you are.

“She was unraveling into someone strong.”
-unknown
It is time to come alive again. To allow the unraveling to take place, for growth and stretching to happen. The time of hibernation is finished, let’s dream and live again. We have rested, we have restored our energy and now a new movement can drive us.
The unraveling may be uncomfortable, it might take time to get used to something new. The view might have changed, but the inner strength is driving growth. It can not be stopped, and it won’t. She is coming alive again.

How do we live in the ‘In Between’ space? It can be uncomfortable, it can feel like a tug-of-war game. Being pulled between two very strong forces. You feel stretched in the middle where a core value is being tested.
Life is pulling at you, the world desires to pull you one way. Your heart is pulling you upwards.
How did the Father live in this space? An in between space where heaven and earth collided. Where He lived and thought with a kingdom mindset and yet lived in a broken world. How do we live in the same space?
There is a space where few choose to be, it's hard, it can be messy, but the reward is far greater than the war.

There is a song by Bethel Music called “Peace”. While I was creating this painting, This song brought a gentle and yet bold paint stroke. Peace is soft, gentle and yet bold, grounding, and has deep roots. It’s the smell of rain coming, it's crisp and fresh. It’s the taste of a sweet strawberry. It’s the feeling of something surrounding your entire being without feeling suffocating. We crave a sweet peace that goes beyond our understanding. In those moments we are feeling like air is being stripped away from us, we can ask and invite a sweet peace to invade our being, our surroundings, our state of mind. A sweet space we can carry and bless those around us with.
