We are naturally drawn to things that are not man made. My eyes lock in on nature's palettes. The same mountain we hike up can change its colors in a matter of hours. It's a palette that does not like to be controlled and yet as an artist. I can't stop painting it. The greens just show off. They change as the sun shines on them. They reflect soft sages green as the moon dances off of each leaf. Nature claims color as its own. So we grab ahold of the pieces it allows us to take. Pictures, memories, rocks, flowers and even pigment. Trying to recreate the beauty we saw. Yet, we are always drawn back to the place where we first saw it.
Maybe that is how God designed it to be. Giving and yet wild. Full of wonder and discovery.
