I have always been amazed by things in nature that grow in places where you feel they should not be able to thrive. They might not have much of a root system, They can withstand storms and come out with even more vibrant colors. They are delicate and soft. They always draw nature and people to them.
Sometimes seasons in our lives are like that. Our root systems seem short, we grow in a place where we even surprise ourselves. We come out of storms with even more colors and more grace.
There are Lily pads close to the park I run in, but they are only around for a week before the warmer weather evaporates their surroundings. When they are present; they will stop people walking by.
May our lives be a Lily. That even when our roots feel short and the storms seem to come often. The seasons want to dry up our space. We allow the grace and softness of the Father to make our colors even bolder and draw all of creation to Him.
